Some Team Information
As we prepare for Milwaukee, there are a few website maintenance chores we are taking care of. First - check out the race photos from South Boston. Secondly, we have Tyler's Driver Bio page updated. The last item that is in process is updating the 'Meet Our Crew' portion of the site. We hope to have this complete by May 10th. We will have new crew photos and a little more insight into who they are.

Crew Prepares for South Boston

Three…Two…One…Stop

Those words were heard over and over and over again on Tuesday night during the Bullet Racing’s pit stop practice. “It is great to have a pit crew all from the area so we can practice together,” remarked Jay McGhee, front tire changer and practice coordinator. “We have a lot of new guys this year; they are young, energetic and eager to learn,” he continued.

Ernie Morse, a former rear tire changer, now serving as the team’s tire specialist, was on hand to provide some tips to the team’s new rear tire changer; Robert Cesare, Medina, Ohio. “I miss the excitement of doing these pit stops, but unfortunately can not do them now, by observing and making some recommendations hopefully I can help someone else pick up times,” Morse commented.

The new guys were visibly worn out by the time they had completed about 30 stops, but each time their times were getting better, and each time they were seeing the importance of knowing where they needed to go, but also understanding where their fellow teammates needed to go.

“I am real proud of these guys, they have worked their tail off, there were times we were not sure if we would be racing or not, but they stuck with it and are now eager to get out on the track for some real world experience,” observed Bill Harkins, team manager.

The team is also looking forward to their young driver, Tyler Young of Midland, TX, getting behind the wheel of the #11N Chevrolet Monte Carlo at South Boston Speedway. “Tyler is one the nicest young men I have ever met and also one of the calmest people any of us has ever met,” commented Deborah Meek. “We all believe that the combination of his talent and demeanor will contribute to a successful 2008 season for the team.”

If you would like to be a part of Tyler Young and Bullet Racing’s future, we are actively seeking partners for the balance of the 2008 season and beyond. Please visit our website www.bullet11racing.com or contact Deborah at 419-707-3630.

2008 Race Plans for Bullet Racing Announced

Cleveland, Ohio – March 31, 2008

Tyler Young, 17, of Midland, Texas has signed as the new driver for the #11N Chevrolet for Bullet Racing, based in Cleveland, Ohio.  Tyler will be competing for the Miller Lite Rookie of the year title.  Tyler will be sponsored by Young’s Building Systems, a division of Randco Industries Inc.

A familiar face to the series will be joining forces with Bullet Racing to serve as Young’s crew chief.  Eric Corbett will bring with him his years of experience as a driver, as well as chassis and suspension set up knowledge.  Eric’s former spotter, Randy Bussard, will also be joining the Bullet team as Tyler’s spotter.

Continuing the team’s work with the Ohio Technical College in Cleveland, two new recruits will be on board with the team. Jeremy Hallums is training for the jackman position as well as being the equipment manager during the week. Jeremy also brings a vast mechanical knowledge base with him; Jeremy is a recent honors graduate of Ohio Technical College. Darrin Vandergriff is also a graduate of Ohio Technical College and works for an automotive dealer fulltime. Darrin is training for the position of gasman.

There will also be many familiar faces from the Bullet crew returning.  Bill Harkins-team manager and car chief; Deborah Meek – business manager and scorer; Jay McGhee-front tire changer and lead mechanic; Ernie Morse – Tire Specialist; Dave Ward – tire carrier; Poncho McGhee – sign board; Keith Bishop – Webmaster and Gene Clark the elder statesman of the team who keeps the shop clean and in good order for the crew.  We currently have a tire carrier and tire changer position open and hope to fill those positions from the Northern Ohio region so the team can continue with full crew pit stop practices.

In the coming days and weeks as we prepare for the first event of the season we will be providing more updates to the media and our website.  These updates will include driver and crew bios, testing details, and sponsor information.

Bullet Racing is excited about the 2008 season and looking forward to our first race on April 19th at South Boston Speedway.

Additional information on the team and other marketing partnerships available can be shared by contact Bill Harkins at 216-514-3375 (shop) or Deborah Meek at 419-707-3630 (mobile).

Pro Cup Announces New TV Package for 2008 Season
New Page 1

Races to air in record number of Households in 2008

Myrtle Beach, S.C.-The Hooters Pro Cup Series will once again air its full schedule on a national network in 2008. However, for the first time the ultra-competitive races will air on VERSUS, a national sports network available in 74 million homes that celebrates real competition in all its forms.

As part of the agreement, all races will air on Mondays between 3 and 7 p.m. ET, eight days after the event.

"This is not only a good deal for this season, but it also gives us room for growth in the future," said Gene Cox, USAR President. "Being able to put the series and drivers in front of a new national audience, while keeping our core fans, is exciting."

VERSUS, a wholly owned company of Comcast Corporation, is the national cable home of the National Hockey League (NHL) and the Stanley Cup Playoffs as well as best-in-class events such as The Tour de France, Davis Cup Tennis, the Professional Bull Riders (PBR), World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) and Professional Boxing. The network also offers collegiate sports featuring nationally-ranked teams from top conferences such as the Pac-10, Big 12 and Mountain West. VERSUS features the best outdoor programming on television and is a destination for sports fans, athletes and sportsmen to find exclusive, competitive events that audiences can't find elsewhere.

"Our demographics match up well," said Cox, "With our races airing in a good time slot in front of a captive audience, we see no reason that our viewership numbers shouldn’t increase again this season."
